2011 BLUE & GOLD BANQUET
Time and Place:
- Sunday February 13th from 1:30-4:30 PM
- Lawton Community Center 646 North Nursery Street, Lawton, MI
What is the event?
The Blue & Gold is:
- A celebration of the birthday of scouting.
- Pack 161’s February Pack Meeting. Advancements for scouts will be presented at this meeting.
- A formal recognition of the crossover of our Webelo 2’s from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.
- A family event; siblings are welcome.
Menu & Cost:

A buffet meal will be served:
- Adults: Stuffed chicken breast, redskin potatoes, green beans almandine & tossed salad w/ dressing.
- Children: Chicken strips, Mac & cheese, and smiley fries
- Lemonade, coffee & milk will be provided
- Birthday cake will be served for dessert.
- Scouts are FREE! The Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for kids if paid by the January 25th Pack Meeting. (After January 25th, the cost will be $12 for adults and $6 for kids)
- Angela Kangas will be available at the January 25th Pack Meeting to collect reservation forms and payments if you haven’t already turned them in to your den leader.
Other Information:
- Scouts and Leaders should be in full Class A uniform for this event.
- The Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s Honor Society, will perform the Webelos Crossover Ceremony
- Entertainment provided by John Dudley, Comedy Magician.
- Door prizes for every scout!

- Please contact Angela Kangas at 668-5297 or angelalkangas@hotmail.com if you can help with any of the following: decorating and set-up for the event, clean up after the event, assembling the crossover banners (before the event), greeting and sign–in table, donation of door prizes.
